Slag Discharging Chute
This client required a suitable method of ensuring the safe disposal of slag discharge from a raised furnace positioned up on a mezzanine floor, down to a waste skip on the ground floor. We designed and manufactured a bespoke heat-resistant chute to significantly reduce potential health and safety hazards.

Mobile Access Stairs
Our client needed to access a hinge to fit the hood on their production line for the manufacture of heavy plant. During this stage of production, the engine is exposed, at height and hot from a test performed earlier on the line. We provided this client with a repeatable and safe solution without disrupting the workflow.

3D Prototype Fire Escape Staircase – Case Study
Our client required a new fire escape to ensure health and safety regulations. EDS produced a 3D prototype of the fire escape which would demonstrate the suitability. Followed by our experienced design team providing the client’s third-party manufacturer with a complete drawing pack which allowed the fire escape to be fabricated to the required standards.

Auto Engaging Container Lifting Beam
Used to help unload unevenly loaded containers from the back of a lorry using an existing crane system. The beam needed to lock into position on the container without the need for an operator to climb up a ladder or on top of the container to attach or rotate a lift lug.
View ProjectHeavy Duty Turnover Frame
This needed to be able to pick up a set of components weighing up to five tonnes with only a forklift available. Once the components had been lifted they needed to rotated by 180° to allow for maintenance staff to work on both sides.
