The Problem
Our client was in the midst of expanding their business which required a comprehensive construction project. To ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, a new fire escape was required.
The challenges
Prior to consulting EDS, our client had acquired architectural structural calculations for the proposed fire escape. However, the drawings were unsuitable for manufacture which required a three-week lead time. Conscious of the limited time frame, EDS used the information available to produce a 3D prototype of the fire escape which would demonstrate the practicality to the client.
The Solution
Following approval of the 3D prototype, our experienced design team produced and provided the client’s third-party manufacturer with a complete drawing pack which allowed the fire escape to be fabricated to the required standards.
